One of the most common issues that people raise with me when I teach meditation is time. How do they find the time to meditate or even just pause within a busy life?

There is no easy answer to this, it is a very personal thing. However, I have learned that providing accessible resources is an important part of supporting people to develop new habits of body and mind that facilitate slowing down and greater awareness.

I have put together a contemplative calendar for May which features a new contemplative resource for each day. There is a mix of meditations, poems, music and podcasts, most are less than 15 minutes.

The mix of activities reflects my sense that a contemplative life is not based on meditation alone. Active engagement with creative beauty can create a sense of openness and connection that is supportive of meditation and can also affect how we cope with the complexity and demands of human life.
