Local Government Data Research Centre provides a range of services and academic
expertise from the University of East Anglia, University of Essex, University of
Kent and London School of Economics to help everyone realise the benefits of their data.

Now in its fourth year, the Eastern Enterprise Hub continues to expand and
has established itself as a regional enterprise agency. Operating across
East Anglia, the Hub encourages and supports entrepreneurs of all ages
across many disciplines.
Located in Colchester, Ipswich and Norwich, we strive to promote business
growth and support people who have a good business idea to develop key
skills, commercial expertise and the confidence to make it a success.
Since 2013 we’ve doubled the number of programmes on offer, including the
Colchester Entrepreneurs Programme, delivered in partnership with Colchester
Borough Council, the Games Hub for aspiring gamers in the region, and the
Essex Entrepreneurs Programme, run in collaboration with Essex County

This Knowledge Gateway based Games Hub has over the past year helped
two teams start-up and establish their own development studios and now has six
more teams currently taking part.
We run a free, expert driven programme to enable those who have aspirations and
a passion to set up their own games company or enter the industry.
Working in partnership with the University of Essex, our aim is to continue
building and growing the video games industry here in Essex and East Anglia by

They are currently working with renowned games writer Rhianna Pratchett on their

Smart Networked Environments (SmartNE)
