Our undergraduate curriculum offers study of Europe through an interdisciplinary programme in the humanities and the social sciences.
You can build a course that matches your interests by choosing from modules in literature, film, history of art, history, politics and
sociology. You can learn none, one or two modern European languages, depending on the course that you choose.
All European studies courses are four years in length and you spend your third year studying abroad.
BA European Studies
You learn to understand the nature of contemporary Europe from an economic, political and sociological perspective. You explore Europe’s history and

French, German, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese.
