Renowned for research
Our academics challenge convention to help organisations innovate and
economies flourish. As one of the UK’s youngest, most dynamic business schools,
our researchers are entrepreneurial and have the courage to tackle some of
businesses toughest challenges, such as gender inequality and tax avoidance.
Together, we’re fighting for a more responsible approach to management for the
benefit of business and society.
We’re home to some of the world’s most respected
academics in the field of business and management. Accounting expert
Professor Prem Sikka lobbies for responsible tax practice and frequently
writes for national and international titles, like The Independent,
BBC News and Russia Today. Our Dean,
Professor Geoffrey Wood, is just one of a number of journal editors amongst
our academics and serves on the British Academy of Management (BAM) Council.

had if it wasn’t for my Essex Business School education and the extra-curricular
opportunities I’ve been involved with.”
