Entrepreneurship Masters

Enhance your career

Three graduates

We equip you with skills for the modern workplace. Whether you’re seeking graduate employment or starting your own business, we offer bespoke careers advice and a range of employability options to enhance your CV.

Successful entrepreneurs are tenacious, innovative and adaptable. They spot opportunity and work hard to make ideas reality.

At Essex Business School, we equip you with knowledge and practical business skills needed to exploit gaps in the market and create a new venture. You learn innovative approaches to business formation in a local and global context and have the option to complete a business plan instead of a dissertation.

We explore the entrepreneurship issues affecting the world today so you can respond creatively to start-up challenges. By examining enterprise creation from economic, sociological, psychological and managerial perspectives, you’re better prepared for the journey of starting your own business, or using your entrepreneurial spirt to benefit existing organisations.

Our Postgraduate entrepreneurship courses

You don't need to have studied business to undertake our entrepreneurship Masters courses and you can opt to study on a full or part-time basis.

  • Miguel Enrique Lopez Cedeno - graduate (2013)

    Miguel Enrique Lopez Cedeno

Miguel Enrique Lopez Cedeno, from Mexico, is Digital Marketing Executive at marketing agency Coast Digital.

“I use the knowledge gained on my entrepreneurship Masters every day at work. My course taught me how to research, think critically and be creative - exactly the skills I need to understand and evaluate my clients’ goals and recommend innovative ways to market their products.

"My Masters gave me the opportunity to put theory into practice, through group projects and assignments like the business report. It gave me the confidence to become a freelance consultant, helping businesses identify new opportunities and develop strategies to gain an advantage in their industry. Working for an agency, I now use this experience to translate brands’ objectives into digital strategies that grow their businesses and generate a better marketing ROI.”

  • Jake Sorrell - current student

After graduating with his undergraduate degree, Jake stayed at Essex Business School in Southend for his Masters in entrepreneurship.
