How to apply

All posts will be appointed by a University Selection Committee chaired either by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Anthony Forster, the relevant Faculty Executive Dean or Deputy Dean.

Procedure for application

Recruitment at the University of Essex is undertaken online. To apply for any of the posts listed on this site you'll need to click on the link for the relevant job, complete a short application form and attach a number of documents - these will be specified in the Job Pack for the role and will be used in the shortlisting and selection process.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to visit the Colchester Campus to meet relevant Faculty staff and to have a formal interview. You may also be asked to give a research presentation. The appointment will be made subject to satisfactory references and right to work checks, and will be in line with University Ordinances and relevant terms of employment.
