NHS core values

As future health, social care or third-sector professionals you should also be able to demonstrate and show commitment to the core NHS values, which also reflect our University values:

Our School's aims

We aim to provide you with a depth of understanding of the profession you have chosen, and also a wealth of transferable skills that you can call upon when taking the next steps into your career.

Throughout your modules and placements we ensure that you maintain a portfolio of your skills and experiences that form both a part of your degree, and also form the basis for the skills needed in your professional life.

Job opportunities

We also work together as a multi-disciplinary/multi-professional School to provide you with a wide network of contacts, work experience, volunteering and employment opportunities that will help you to progress in your chosen profession.

Once you have enrolled on one of our courses, you will have access to these opportunities online via our Director of Employability. This facility is specific to our School and you will find links to job opportunities in the NHS and other organisations, advice on job applications and interviews, workplace skills and many other useful, employability-related resources, including:

  • job shop
  • employability skills workshops
  • CVs and job searching
  • workplace skills
  • business focussed skills
  • professional skills
  • equality and diversity
