Over 2,000 people have graduated from the Human Rights Centre since
the first course began in 1983. Our alumni are an essential part of the
Essex human rights mafia, ensuring that our human rights community's
reach extends across the globe.
Essex Human Rights Alumni Association
The Essex Human Rights Alumni
Association is a network of Human Rights Centre graduates dedicated
to facilitating cooperation between, and sharing expertise amongst
graduates. This is an invaluable resource as you embark upon your career
as a human rights professional. The interaction between students, Centre
members, and alumni promotes an on-going human rights-based dialogue and
The Alumni Association has also established a mentoring scheme to
promote the sharing of experience, ideas and knowledge on human rights
issues between alumni currently engaged in human rights work and
students currently studying at the Human Rights Centre, and operates a
noticeboard advertising upcoming jobs and internships.
