Religion, faith, and worship facilities
Student faith societies
Our faith groups and religious societies welcome you to join them
for their meetings and events. If your faith or culture isn't represented, you are can set up a society.
We’ve got space for worship, meditation, prayer and quiet reflection at both our Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Centres at
Colchester and Southend Campuses.
The Multi-Faith Chaplaincy at our Colchester Campus supports the religious and spiritual needs of our
students and staff. It has chaplains and representatives for nearly every major faith and Christian
denomination, and a worship space which is open for use to all members of
our University who wish to pray, meditate, or spend time in quiet reflection.
The Anglican, Catholic, and Muslim chaplains have offices in the chaplaincy and are happy to help you connect with your own faith group.
At the Southend Campus there’s a chaplaincy centre and a prayer room based in The Gateway Building, which welcomes all faith groups
and will happily advise and support students or staff.
