Welcome to Loughton Campus

Our Loughton Campus is based around Hatfields, a beautiful Georgian dower house, set in five acres of lawns, with orchards, flowerbeds and a small lake - providing an idyllic atmosphere for study, relaxation and theatrical performance. On campus, you’ll find the Corbett Theatre, Hatfields House, the Students’ Union café bar, and a number of drama studios. Unit 4 is where our technical students work, and Roding House also has studios – both are 10 minutes’ walk from the main campus.

Living and Learning at Essex

Our useful guide for students coming to our Loughton Campus tells you everything you need to know about settling into our incredible community.

It's go from day one

At East 15, it's go from day one on your induction. If you have any questions, however big or small, please contact our Student Services Hub who will be happy to help. Telephone the Hub on: 0208 418 7346 (outside the UK this has an ++20 prefix) or email: askthehub-lc@essex.ac.uk.

If you're joining us as a new student member of our community in 2016, we'll be adding information on events ASAP, so please bookmark this page and come back soon.

Returning students

If you're a returning second or third year undergraduate, or a returning Masters or PhD student please don't forget you need to register onto your course again at the start of each academic year.

Employability events

Students at a careers fair
