British Council alumni awards
The British Council Alumni Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of alumni from UK universities.
The awards also showcase the impact and value of a UK higher education.
Winners and finalists in the awards are leaders in their fields who have used their experience of studying in the UK to make a positive contribution to their communities, professions and countries.
Several Essex alumni reached the finals in 2022, in the areas of business and innovation, culture and creativity, science and sustainability and social action.
Dr Faisal Al Homoud won in the culture and creativity category, for his work to bring new and innovative strategies to English language teaching in Saudi Arabia
Qais Altoubi from Oman won in the business and innovation category for his work to establish the largest online learning platform in his home country, focusing on the skills needed by the market in that region.
