Direct Entrants to Year 2: School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering Departmental Induction

Kickstart your Essex journey with our official CSEE Welcome Events! During Welcome Week, you'll have the opportunity to dive into your new course and department, while getting to know your academics and fellow students.

In your welcome lecture, we'll cover everything you need to know—from navigating the campus to making the most of your experience with us. You'll meet our Head of School, Director of Education, and key academics who will support you throughout your time here. We will also introduce you to our  Student Union, the Student-Led CSEE Society, and our Women in CSEE Society!

Your lab induction is your chance to connect with our Technical Demonstrators, who will guide you through the systems we use, ensuring you’re ready to start your first week of lectures and labs on the right foot.

Our social event is a great opportunity to mingle with peers and departmental staff in a relaxed setting. You’ll also have the chance to chat with members of our societies and meet our Peer Mentors!

This event is for students joining us via link agreements into Year 2 and students progressing into Year 2 from the International Academy
