Design Thinking and Prototyping

Hosted by Essex Startups

Design thinking is the process of considering what customers need and building, or adapting, a business model to meet those needs. Its focus is on creating innovative solutions based on the way users think, feel, and behave.

We will examine the five core elements of design thinking:

  • Empathise – research the needs of the user
  • Define – identify where the problems exist
  • Ideate – generate creative ideas/solutions
  • Prototype – create representations of the ideas/solutions
  • Test – try the solutions out and obtain feedback

This workshop will encourage you fully assess the needs of your market and challenge you to be creative and think differently to find solutions to problems that occur in the user journey. By challenging assumptions and taking an unconventional approach you can explore the ways your business can add value and retain customers in a crowded market.
