New Channel Islands undergraduate students pay fees at the Home and EU rate.

For students commencing their studies at the University of Essex in the 2017-18 academic year, your fees will increase for each academic year of study. This annual increase will be 3% or the annual increase in the RPI-X index, whichever is the higher.

Our fees enable us to provide a high quality educational experience, to invest in teaching, services and facilities, and to increase our investment in widening participation, access, and student opportunity.

Year abroad or placement year courses

Unlike many other universities, if you take a course with a year abroad or industrial or clinical placement year, you'll pay no tuition fees for that year.
