Profile
Biography
Dr. Alexandros K. Antoniou is a Senior Lecturer in Media Law. His research interests lie principally, but not exclusively, within the fields of communications law and intellectual property asset management. He is a legal correspondent for the European Audiovisual Observatory, reporting regularly on matters concerning media law and regulation, as well as intellectual property. Alexandros has a Ph.D. in Law from City University London (The City Law School). He also completed an MA in Cultural and Creative Industries (King's College London) and an LLM in Media Law (City University London), after having read law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Alexandros has previously held academic appointments at Birkbeck, University of London, and Glasgow Caledonian University. He also conducted research in the high-profile Designing Out Crime project, which was developed by the Design Council and the Home Office's Design and Technology Alliance Against Crime. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an Accredited Mediator.
