Dr Caroline Barratt

Deputy Director of Education for Innovation and Excellence, University of Essex

Caroline is a Senior Lecturer and the Deputy Director of Education for Innovation and Excellence, as well as the Programme Lead for our MSc Health Research. She teaches on a range of modules including undergraduate, post-graduate and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses.

Over her time in higher education, Caroline has become interested in pedagogy, student well-being and inclusivity. She has trained as a mindfulness teacher, including trauma informed approaches, building on over 20 years of meditation experience and now leads mindfulness workshops for students and staff.
