My name is Deborah and I’m a part-time student of the Essex MBA.
I am a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) currently working as an eDiscovery Forensic Consultant at EY, where I focus on the end-to-end process of unstructured data processing and analysis (EDRM). Before this role, I worked at Deloitte Nigeria, specializing in fraud investigation, fraud risk assessment, and integrity due diligence. Throughout my career, I have participated in projects across various sectors, including government, telecommunications, finance, and legal industries.
As I sought out a reputable Business School, my priority was to find a curriculum that offered flexibility to align with my professional obligations and busy schedule. Additionally, I aimed to select a school with a diverse community of international students, enriching my learning journey by engaging with individuals from various global backgrounds.
Essex Business School addressed several of my considerations. Being accredited by the AMBA, EBS has carefully curated curriculum and it is home to a diverse student body hailing from various corners of the globe, ensuring a comprehensive and multicultural learning environment. EBS also offers me a very flexible study mode with proximity to my place of work.
My favourite aspects of the Essex MBA include:
- Diversity in the selection of students – learning more about other parts of the world, the people, their culture, mindset, leadership approach
- Director’s Workshops – learning from a variety of speakers' experiences and challenges
- Case-based interactive discussions
Overall, the MBA qualification has served as a catalyst for achieving my career goals by providing me with the knowledge, skills, network, and credibility needed to succeed in the dynamic and competitive business landscape of the technology industry.
