Nursing Associate

At Essex, we offer a nursing associate higher apprenticeship. This course results in an award of Foundation degree (FdSc) as well as professional registration with the NMC as a Nursing Associate.

As Nursing Associates work across both health and social care, from acute care to mental health services, this course does not specifically focus on one area only of clinical practice. Instead, the nursing associate programme looks at the broad principles of healthcare that underpin all work in the NHS and draws on variety of examples.
