Human Rights Week 2017

Would you like to take part in the celebration of Human Rights Week?

Human Rights Week 2017 takes place 4 - 8 December and the Essex Human Rights Society has some amazing events for you to participate in. This year's theme is Human Rights Activism.

We are kicking off the week with the annual chalking of the steps between Squares 3 and 4, with the 30 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Dr Ahmed Shaheed (Deputy Director of the Human Rights Centre) and Ula Dzudzewicz (President of the Human Rights Society) will be joining us, saying a few words on the importance of protecting human rights and human rights activism.
