Primary languages policy in England

Join us as we consider foreign language learning in primary schools. Help us address the current challenges faced and discuss what is needed to implement a successful language learning policy.

We investigate how primary school children learn language. We research and implement successful strategies to ensure foreign language learning success in the primary classroom. We invite you to join our network and gain practical, research-based and ready to implement ideas for best classroom practice.

Professor Florence Myles from the Department of Language and Linguistics at the University of Essex and Bernadette Holmes MBE are organising this event alongside fellow members of the Research in Primary Languages (RiPL) Network. The event will run from 10am - 4pm on Saturday 9 November at The Institute of Education at University College London.

This event is part of the nationwide Festival Of Social Science, it is open to the public and completely free of charge.
