Join the ECCHR and the Essex Business and Human Rights Project for an update and discussion of the proposed German supply chain due diligence law featuring some of the leading thinkers and actors in Business and Human Rights in Germany.
We’ll consider:
What does the law do?
How does the law fit into the broader regulatory regime within Germany?
What more should the law do?
Bringing together civil society, legal practitioners, academia, and business-minded consultants, this panel will offer a variety of perspectives that should further our understanding of the current status of the law, what we can reasonably hope for the future, and what we should (un)reasonably demand to ensure progress and accountability.
Panellists
Dr Miriam Saage-Maas, Vice Legal Director, ECCHR
Robert Grabosch, Schweizer Legal
Professor Dr Markus Krajewski, Chair in Public Law and Public International Law, University of Erlangen-Nürnberg
Gwendolyn Remmert, co-founder and director of Sustainable Links
Daniel Crampton, Consultant
Dr Anna Beckers, Assistant Professor of Private Law and Legal Methodology, University of Maastricht
Franca Maurer, German Institute for Human Rights, International Human Rights section.
