Join us for this fascinating PhD conference with Dr Jessica Benjamin and Professor Lisa Baraitser

 

Questions of repair and reparation will be explored during this conference using various psychoanalytic and depth psychological traditions, covering topics including clinical and creative practices, life experiences such as early childhood, identity formation and grief, and several historical and psychosocial contexts including the pandemic, humanitarian acts and interactions with nature. There will also be opportunity to join smaller group discussions during the Conference.

Keynote speakers include Dr Jessica Benjamin, Teaching Faculty and Clinical Consultant, New York University giving the annual Freud Memorial Lecture on ‘”More Than One Can Live”:  Reconceiving Harm and Reparation in the Intersubjective  World’ (separate booking required*). Lisa Baraitser, Professor of Psychosocial Theory, University of Birkbeck, London and Psychoanalyst (British Psychoanalytic Society) on ‘Enduring Time in Pandemic Times: Care, Violence and the Possibility of Containment’.
