Irina Blinova

Irina Blinova PWC Senior Manager Leadership Academy Ukraine.

Senior executive with a demonstrated history of working in the accounting industry. I have extensive experience in internal audit, risk management, operational and people management. Thunderbird School of Global Management alumni. A regular speaker at conferences focused on people management and IT audit.

I was at the forefront of the PwC Academy development in Ukraine and have been working as an Academy Leader since its founding in 2009. Currently, PwC Academy Ukraine offers 10 international certifications in various fields. For 10 years, together with my team, we hosted 1500+ educational events, which were attended by 10,000+ visitors.

I see my social mission in bringing innovation to the Ukrainian audit community, providing free educational events on finance management and cooperating with Ukrainian universities on students awareness of career opportunities.

Dr Elaine YerbySenior Lecturer in HRM Essex Business School

I am a committed researcher- practitioner in HRM and experienced Senior Lecturer. My doctoral studies explored HR managerial careers through a feminist poststructuralist and intersectional lens. Other research interests and areas of publication include; the impact on careers from the changing nature of work, the gig economy, work-based conflict resolution and diversity and

for over 10 years and I am currently Co-Chair of the East London and Docklands CIPD Branch and sit on the CIPD London Committee. I am also an accredited workplace mediator and am a founding member of a Pan-London University mediation community of practice and service.

Dr Ian Roper Reader in OB and HRM Essex Business School

Ian researches and teaches in the subject of human resource management. He has research interests in a number of inter-related areas including: 'reforming' work in public services; the impact of employment regulation on equality-related issues; the 'professional' nature of HRM; the relationship between corporate social responsibility and HRM and relatedly, how these relate to the issue of 'Modern Slavery'. Most recently he is interested in the notion of 'Agile' working.

Julie Temple Partner, Head of BLHR and Employment Team Birkett Long 

My main focus has been on advising commercial clients on a broad range of topics, most recently holiday pay, the implementation of GDPR and acting on a number of restrictive covenant cases, as well as some complex claims for unfair dismissal and discrimination. I am currently advising a range of clients on the changes to IR35 and off-payroll working rules.

As a member of Birkett Long’s Education team, I take the lead on providing employment and HR related advice to our range of education clients.
