Preparing for Results Day and Clearing webinar series

Find out more information on what it's like to study at Essex; the Clearing process; reasons to apply through Clearing and also hear from a selection of our students who received their offers to study at Essex, through Clearing.

This is an informal drop-in session where you can join at any time, for 5 minutes or the whole session! This is a no judgement space where you can ask any questions you may have about Clearing and receive support from staff. No question is a silly question!

In this webinar, parents and guardians can learn how A-Level Results Day works and how UCAS will communicate results on A-Level Results Day (15 August). Further information on Clearing itself will also be given, including what it is, why someone would apply through Clearing and top tips on how to support your young person on A-Level Results Day and throughout Clearing.

In this session we will take you through the different possible outcomes on A-Level Results Day and how to prepare to receive your results. We'll then focus on Clearing itself, giving guidance on how to research Clearing choices and we'll even take you through what a Clearing phone call may be like, as we know this can feel daunting.

We'll then have some of our Student Ambassadors on hand to take us through their experiences of Clearing at Essex.

We understand that going through Clearing can be overwhelming. Taking care of your mental health during this period is incredibly important. In this webinar, we'll be sharing practical tips to help you manage your wellbeing, cope with stress, and handle unexpected outcomes. Remember, it's completely normal to feel unsure, but we're here to support you and reassure you that everything will be okay.
