Create your own sculptures out in Wivenhoe Park, with artists Clare Iles and Tom Armstrong.

Using everyday materials, make the animals that feature in John Constable's 1816 painting of Wivenhoe Park, including his swans, birds and cows. But why stop there? Let's take this further and invent a few of our own!

With the guidance and support of Clare and Tom, you'll be surprised at how easy, and how much fun it is, to go animal crackers!

Suitable for the whole family. All materials are provided.

Admission free. All are welcome, no booking required.

This event has been made possible through the Essex County Council Arts and Cultural Fund, which supports organisations and creative practitioners to deliver an exciting range of activities to engage with and bring communities in Essex together.

Quirky animal creations made out of everyday materials. Materials include cardboard, tissue paper and twigs. There is a few abstract animals, as well as a swan sitting on a nest.
