An exhibition showcasing the fight for Women’s Rights in the 1960s and 1970s through the University of Essex Archives.
The exhibition, curated by MA History student Jeanette Hartley, showcases five spaces highlighting different moments in women’s protests.
These slices of time are represented in individual cabinets and combine historical evidence preserved in the University of Essex archives, building on that evidence with film, photographs, and other fragments of history found outside the archive.
The exhibition is on display on the First Floor Landing of the Albert Sloman Library and features archival materials, including photographs, letters, newspaper clippings and film playing on the wall mounted screen.
