Essex Business School Welcome events

Your department induction is an essential part of Welcome Week. Essex Business School is running a range of events throughout Welcome Week 2024.

Studying more than one subject? If you're studying a joint degree, you should access key support through your home department. If you're not sure which is your home department, you can find out on MyEssex.

Your Welcome week will be a great opportunity to meet key members of staff and gives you the chance to get to know your fellow students who will be studying on your course with you. We expect you to attend as you will receive important information to help you start your university experience. More information about your induction will be sent to your Essex email nearer the time. Remember to check this regularly for dates, times and further details.

Getting started with EBS IT systems

• Monday 30 September: 2pm-3pm
• Tuesday 1 October: 2pm-3pm
• Friday 4 October: 2pm-3pm
• Location: EBS - Lab S (Bloomberg/Trading floor)

Get set up on our IT systems - this session is open to new and returning EBS students on all programmes. Join us in the EBS IT Lab (Trading Floor) for this session with our Student Services Team to help you get set up on University systems.

First year undergraduate students

Essex Business School Undergraduate welcome day

Find out about your new department and your new programme. All new undergraduate students are invited to join us at the Buisness School to find out more about your programme and to meet fellow students. Lunch will be provided. 

Postgraduate taught students

• Room: EBS 2.2
