Essex Business School Welcome Week 2024

All study levels:

Monday 30 September

• This is an optional event, but we would really encourage you to join us and meet your EBS Student Services Team who are here to support and guide you as you start your studies. Drop in for an informal chat anytime between 10am-4pm.
• Celebrate our school’s internationalism by adding your pin to our EBS World in One Place Map and send a postcard home!

Monday 30 September

• Do you know your LEAP from your FASER? Have you found your way around the various online systems we use at Essex?
• This event will take you through the most commonly used systems and apps to get you started.
• Join us for this practical session to get you logged in, set up and ready for your studies.
• You can bring your laptop and devices and set them up too!

• You only need to attend once.

Tuesday 2 October

• Find out everything about the Student Union and what's on offer in Southend
• This is your opportunity to visit a number of stalls and find out more from your SU, how to get involved and how to join societies and what services and support is on offer from the university and local community

Wednesday 3 October

• Find out how the team can support you with everything you need to do well in your studies, including what materials and resources are available to you along with workshops and other support.

Thursday 4 October

• This is your opportunity to visit a number of stalls and find out more from your University.

• This is also a great opportunity to meet support teams, local business, sign up for discounts, get freebies and have fun.

Thursday 4 October

• Round off the week with our Meet and Greet Session - Complimentary refreshments provided

• Come and meet your tutors and the professional services team and peer mentors whilst chatting to fellow students over a cuppa and a piece of cake.  

Tuesday 8 October

• Come and learn what activities and fun events the SU have in store for you - this includes local events happening in the city too! Sign up to one of the Southend SU Societies and find out how to become a student rep and to sign up for volunteering opportunities.
