Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught student activities:

• A compulsory Welcome talk for all new students from your year tutor and other key academics. At this session you’ll find out key information about studying at the Department of Psychology at Essex and essential need-to-know advice to get your first term off to a productive start – not to be missed!
• An introduction to your Personal Tutor and tutor group – put your collective knowledge to the test and get to know others from your course with a short quiz. There will be prizes for the winning tutor group!
• Refreshments and a chance to socialise with peers and departmental staff. 
• An opportunity to meet with our Department Peer Mentors.
• An introduction to the Library (from your subject librarian) and a welcome from the Students Union.

More information about your induction (including dates and times) will be available via email and on Moodle nearer the time, which you will be invited to via your online registration process.
