ECR/PGR "Walk & Talk" - Prof Jaime Miranda, Sydney School of Public Health

An opportunity for ECRs & PGR students to meet informally with Prof Jaime Miranda, Head of the University of Sydney School of Public Health

This is an opportunity for Early Career Researchers and Postgraduate Research Students to meet informally with Professor Jaime Miranda, during his visit to the University of Essex at the end of November.

Professor Jaime Miranda is Head of School of the Sydney School of Public Health at the University of Sydney's Faculty of Medicine and Health, and among his various roles he is member of the WHO’s Technical Advisory Group of Experts on NCD-related Research and Innovation, and co-Chair of the Independent Group of Scientists appointed by the UN Secretary-General António Guterres in charge of drafting the 2023 Global Sustainable Development Report.

This "walk and talk" session will provide an opportunity for staff and students to discuss their research with Jaime and draw on his experience and expertise in an informal gathering.

We are hoping to take advantage of the great green spaces that we have on the Colchester campus and make this a walking session so discussions can be held while exploring Wivenhoe Park. An indoor venue will be booked as a back-up should the weather be bad.

A light lunch will be available (on campus) at the end of the "walk and talk".

ECRs/ PGR students can register for this session on Eventbrite
