Come and find out more about your course, meet key members of staff like your personal tutor, and meet the people you’re going to be studying with.


This is a welcome for all the postgraduate taught and research students who are new to Essex Law School and are commencing their studies in January 2025.

Your Welcome events will be a great opportunity to meet some key members of staff such as your course directors and give you the chance to speak with some of your fellow students who will be studying on your course with you. We expect you to attend as you will receive important information to help you start your University experience.

  • A chance to meet with your peers and gain insight into Essex Law School and the Human Rights Centre.

We'll show you key areas around campus, which will help you get to know where the main teaching areas will be, as well as the Law Common Room and Law Education office.
