Join us as we walk together across the Colchester campus with our lanterns, crafted by the University of Essex Origami Society or bring your own (no naked flames). The procession will stop to watch and listen to 'Even when he is silent' - a poignant and introspective choral work, inspired by a short but deeply moving text, written by a Jewish individual hiding during World War II and found scratched on the wall of a cellar in Cologne, Germany. The procession will finish with a gathering outside the Silberrad Student Centre for a moment of reflection.
Make your paper lantern for the Procession at a workshop organised by the University of Essex Origami Society. This will take place in The Atrium from 6pm on Wednesday 29 January.
