This workshop will introduce the essentials of business finance for your start-up.

Having a great idea, a sound marketing strategy, and the drive to make your business a success are all necessary elements for your start-up, but many put off exploring the essential aspect of business finance. Maybe not the most fun subject, but probably the most important, as you understand how your business will make money and, more importantly, where you will spend it.

We will take you through all the essential aspects of business finance, including personal budgets, profit and loss statements, and financial forecasting to equip you with knowledge and put you in the best position possible when starting out.

We will explore:

  • How to source, control and leverage your finances
  • Sources of business funding and investment
  • Tracking your finances to enable successful financial management
  • Forecasting and budgeting
  • Key Performance Indicators
  • Self-Assessment, Corporation Tax and VAT processes

Having a handle on your finances can mean the difference between success and failure. We will help you to get it right from the start.
