Essex is recognised for attracting talented academics and students from across the world and is in the top 20 for international outlook in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2018.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Jules Pretty said: “More students than ever before are choosing Essex and we are investing in recruiting academics to ensure we continue to deliver a high-quality educational experience while also building our research strength.
“We are optimistic about the future and determined to continue delivering dual excellence in education and research.
“We’re proud to be one of a small number of universities who are gold rated in the UK Government’s Teaching Excellence Framework while also having an outstanding reputation for research – ranked in the top 25 for research quality in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.”
We will be recruiting academics to 28 full-time roles and 26 part-time roles in the coming months so they are ready to start in August and September.
