Professor Wood was one of 20 new Fellows conferred at a ceremony hosted by former Essex Vice-Chancellor and Academy President Professor Sir Ivor Crewe.
Professor Wood, whose research interests centre on the relationship between institutional setting, corporate governance, firm finance and firm level work and employment relations, said: “It was a particularly great honour to receive the award, given that it recognised my contributions to supporting early career scholars, and because it was conferred by Sir Ivor Crewe.”
Professor Wood, who is also a Fellow of the British Academy of Management, is Editor in Chief of the British Journal of Management, Official Journal of the British Academy of Management, and is Associate Editor of the Academy of Management Perspectives, Official Journal of the Academy of Management (US).
Before joining Essex Business School he was Professor of International Business at Warwick Business School.
