European researchers awarded placements at Essex as part of mobility awards

Researchers from international universities have been chosen to work at Essex on special short stay grants to promote research collaboration.

Academics from European universities have been selected out of a total of 88 applicants to take part in the YERUN Research Mobility Awards (YRMA), which allows academics from international institutions to work together on research projects and share ideas

Academics from Essex visiting European universities include:

• Eleni Nisioti from the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering

• Lorena Salud Gadella Kamstra from the Department of Language and Linguistics

Academics visiting Essex include:

• Jeannine Teichert, a research associate at the University of Bremen in Germany.

• Fernanda Barrientos Contreras, an Academic Collaborator at the University of Konstanz, Germany

• Eva Maria de la Torre Garcia, a Researcher and Assistant Lecturer at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

• Carolina Sourdis, a Lecturer at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain.
