Talented athletes at the University of Essex have new pathways into graduate study in the United States thanks to a new partnership between U.S. Sports Scholarships and the University of Essex Football Programme.

This is the first partnership between the University and an international student-athlete recruitment company and will provide excellent pathways for their talented undergraduate student-athletes to pursue graduate studies in America.

It also offers a great option for U.S. Sports Scholarships applicants who decide to study in the UK for their undergraduate degree to choose the University of Essex.

As part of the partnership, U.S. Sports Scholarships will be holding future trial events for both men’s and women’s soccer at the University, which boasts some of the best sporting facilities in the entire country. U.S. Sports Scholarships will be confirming dates for the first event in 2022 very soon so stay tuned to secure your place.

As a company U.S. Sports Scholarships is very familiar with the outstanding reputation of the Essex Sport programme as its very own Ellie Rossiter has studied for a Masters degree in Sports Psychology at the University of Essex and represented the Essex Blades Female Football team. She is now a women’s soccer specialist at U.S. Sports Scholarships and helps assist future student-athletes.

U.S. Sports Scholarships Managing Director Liam Barrett said: “We are excited to officially partner with the University of Essex, an institution that shares the same philosophy as ourselves in wanting to help develop talented student-athletes and in the process give them the best possible chance to play at the highest level possible.

“The University of Essex works with some of the very best young athletes throughout the country and we are excited to work with many of them in the next stage of their career in becoming future US college soccer stars. We would also like to thank Pedro Bruno at the University for his efforts in bringing this partnership to fruition.”

University of Essex Head Coach, Pedro Bruno stated: "We’ve been working closely with U.S. Sports Scholarships trying to get this partnership up and running. We are delighted to put pen to paper and start working on what we believe is an amazing opportunity for talented student-athletes to keep playing at the highest level as well as getting the best academic qualifications.

"U.S. Sports Scholarships are well known for the quality of their student-athletes and we believe that a linked pathway with our football programme will help to consolidate our goal of becoming one of the top football universities in the country. We would like to thank Liam Barrett at U.S. Sports Scholarships for allowing this to become official and looking forward to what the future brings.”
