For the first time in University history, elite athletes will compete in both basketball and volleyball in the incredible Essex Sport Arena, on the Colchester Campus.
Hundreds of fans will be able to pack into the £12m state-of-the-art stadium to watch elite athletes compete in top-tier tournaments across a minimum of 32 games.
Away from the on-court action, the Rebels games are packed with fun entertainment – including our mascot Queen B, cheerleading displays, and delicious hot food and cold drinks.
Season tickets, family packages and child passes are now on sale.
Dr Dave Parry, Director of Sport, said: “We are really fired up here at Essex Sport and ready to deliver top flight basketball and volleyball action to all our students and staff this season.
“We have spent the summer building the Essex Rebels teams and developing the game day experience even further to profile our elite athletes and build a deep sense of pride across and within our community."
The first games of the season kicked off last weekend with a series of special fixtures to take place across the year.
Themed Halloween, Valentine’s, Christmas and International Women’s Day games will be highlights of the year.
Saturday will see the men's and women’s basketball sides line up at home for games against Cardiff Met Archers and Northamptonshire Titans.
The following day the Women’s Rebels Volleyball team will take on Leicester Athena.
Tickets are on sale now.
