The festive family fun will see the men and women compete in three games across a triple header with special yuletide entertainment for just £19.50 for a family ticket.
Adding to the occasion two of the opposing teams feature players who appeared in streaming smash Last Chance U – which followed young sportsmen chasing their dreams.
The merry matches unfold on 21 December, with games running from 1-8pm.
Tinsel-tinged tunes
And the crowd will be able to enjoy an ugly Christmas Jumper Competition with a prize, festive food and drink, all sound tracked by your favourite tinsel-tinged tunes.
Essex Rebels Manager, Diana Voynova urged fans to flock to the Essex Arena to enjoy the last game of the year.
Diana said: "Join us for a festive day of basketball and holiday fun at the Essex Rebels Christmas Special! Bring your family and friends, wear your ugliest Christmas jumpers, and enjoy the holiday spirit with games, prizes, delicious festive treats, and your favourite holiday tunes.
"Let’s end the year in style, see you on 21 December at the Essex Sport Arena!"
Sporting celebration
The action starts at 1pm with the D2 men facing off against the London Elite, the women then take on the London Lions, with the D1 men ending the sporting celebration when they go head-to-head with Loughborough Riders at 6.30pm - with entertainment starting at 3pm
The celebratory games come after a challenging season with the women’s side sadly falling short in the Betty Codona Trophy in a disappointing semi-final.
Now the team are focussing on championships and playoffs in the second half of the season.
Diana added: "While it’s a disappointing result, we’ve learned valuable lessons and are now shifting our focus to the championship and playoffs in the second half of the season."
And the men’s team are looking to build on an injury-troubled start and launch into the new SLB cup – which sees them compete against sides in the league above.
"We’re seeing players return to full health at a crucial time, and we’re excited to be part of the SLB Cup for the first time," said Diana.
"We’re proud of all our teams’ efforts. We look forward to the second half of the season with optimism and determination.
"Thank you to all our supporters for your unconditional support. We hope to see as many of you at the Essex Sport Arena in the New Year!"
