Your cuddly dog plushie could be part of something paws-itively special at Art Exchange on the University of Essex’s Colchester Campus.
London-based Peruvian artist Bryan Giuseppi Rodriguez Cambana is asking to borrow cherished furry friends for an artistic installation of soft toy dogs which will be part of the Taking a Bow exhibition opening on Friday 7 February.
You can drop off your plushie at Art Exchange before 25 January during normal opening hours. The Art Exchange team will tag your toy so you can reclaim your pooch pal after the exhibition closes on 21 March (or you can donate a plushie to the exhibition!).
Bryan said: “I would love to invite you to let us borrow one of your fluffy dogs for my installation Taking a Bow at Art Exchange gallery. Dogs form a huge part of my exhibition as we try to recreate the atmosphere of the coastal community of Callao in Peru, where I’m from. I promise that we’ll take care of them with lots of love and warmth and return them to you safe and sound if you’d like them back!”
