The top players will entertain at the University of Essex – at Saturday’s hotly-anticipated family-friendly Nations Unite event.
Fresh from representing their countries the high-flying Essex Rebels will take on rivals Durham Palatinates in the crunch clash.
Doors open at 11.30am and the first game starts 12.30pm.
Incredible entertainment
Both men’s and women’s sides will compete across the double header – which also boasts incredible entertainment.
Classic game day food, a flag parade, performances from the Student Union’s Essex Flames cheerleaders, and the African Caribbean and Nepalese Society, will celebrate the University’s international community.
One of the Rebels’ only home games in January comes just weeks after nine of our players represented England and Scotland in international competitions.
Widely regarded as the best volleyball experience in the country Volleyball England has praised the Essex Rebels for their “progressive and trailblazing” match day experience.
Tickets for the event are on sale now with the coaches promising an exciting day of entertainment.
Explosive energetic game
Head of Volleyball Alex Porter said: “This Saturday is one of our big four games of the season.
“We have a good rivalry with Durham as they are another University-based team.
“It is going to be an explosive, energetic game and a good one for the crowd.
“I welcome people to come along if you have not been to a volleyball game before, this is one of the best to come along.
“It’s not like tennis you can be noisy and supportive, and we have some loud supporters. It’s a fun environment to be in.
“Just come along and have some fun on Saturday.”
