Biography
Leanne completed her undergraduate degree and her PhD in the Psychology Department at the University of Essex. Leanne's PhD focused on the structure and function of avoidance strategies following traumatic experiences. Following the completion of her PhD she enrolled on the Stage 1 training in Health Psychology (MSc) at UCL/KCL and subsequently obtained Chartered status as a Health Psychologist by completing the Stage 2 training via the BPS independent route. Leanne worked within a private Occupational Health company as a stress consultant before joining the School of Health and Human Sciences in 2006. Leanne is a Chartered Health Psychologist who is interested in researching topics closely aligned to both clinical and health psychology. Leanne also has a specific interest in questionnaire construction and development.

Current research
Leanne is currently funded to work on an evaluation of a Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) peer support programme within three Police Forces. This work aims to identify a procedure that can be implemented across the three Forces as they work more closely together in a number of operational and occupational health areas.
Leanne is also working on a funded project with colleagues in HHS evaluating a Perinatal Infant Mental Health Service that is being delivered by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) and Norfolk County Council.
