Biography

Elizabeth Austin is a PhD candidate in the Department of History at the University of Essex. Her work focuses on the medical and commercial identity of urban Apothecaries in England between 1480 and 1620. Her research interests include early modern medicine and mercantile communities, monarchy and royal courts, gender, material cultures and historical reconstruction.
