Biography

Having graduated from the University of Essex with a BSc and MSc in Sport and Exercise Science, I am currently employed at the University as the Human Performance Unit Sport Scientist. My role entails overseeing bespoke laboratory exercise testing services with external athletes of varying sporting disciplines and ability, assisting in planning and delivering internal and external research projects, running sport and exercise science workshops for groups of learners from schools and colleges aged 14+, and assisting in overseeing the professional development of industrial placement staff working within the Human Performance Unit. I am also a part-time PhD student studying elements of muscle and neurophysiology in the context of exercise performance and physical recovery. Following the completion of my PhD, my desire is to work in academia continuing to deliver research projects pertaining to physiology and teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate Sport and Exercise Science students.
