Biography

Sebastian was appointed as a Lecturer in Sport, Rehabilitation and Exercise Sciences at the University of Essex in September 2021. Prior to joining academia, Seb worked as a Sports Therapist and Olympic Weightlifting Coach at a private sports injury clinic and at a weightlifting club. He has worked as a Sports Therapist in football and basketball and has treated a large variety of patients with many different sports related injuries. As a weightlifting coach he has coached athletes up to a national level. Additionally, Sebastian has a keen interest in exercise based rehabilitation and is working on some projects in Achilles tendinopathy that he is looking to publish in the very near future.
