Katie completed her BSc in Medical Neuroscience from the University of Sussex in 2014 and PG Dip in SLT in 2016 from City, University of London, with an extension to an MSc completed in 2017. Katie engages in a range of research activity and has a specific role in supporting research partnerships across the School, including the Better Start Southend evaluation. Her research interests include utilising routine data / real-world data to improve the quality of health services, adult acquired communication disorders, inclusive research practices, social justice and anti-racism, patient and public involvement and research capacity building. Katie is a fully certified speech and language therapist registered with the HCPC and a member of the RCSLT.
