Biography

Dr. Chakraborty is working as a Machine learning researcher at the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering (CSEE) at the University of Essex, Colchester, United Kingdom. Current research work is associated to improve the voice codec using machine learning. He received his BSc degree from the Daffodil International University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, and his MSc degree from the Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden, in 2013, all in electrical engineering with an emphasis on signal processing. He received his PhD degree in Civil and Mechanical engineering from the Silesian Technical University, Poland, in 2020. He worked for KU Leuven, Belgium, and the University of Twente, Nederlands, from 2014 to 2017, where he was involved in indoor acoustic localization and FBG sensors for asphalt systems. He was involved in multiple European projects as a PI and Co-PI. His current research interests include machine learning, signal processing, intelligent control systems, and ultrasonic and acoustic SHM systems.
