Biography

Dr Egbon is a Lecturer in Accounting (Assistant Professor) at the Essex Business School, University of Essex, UK. His research emerges from the intersection of organisations, sustainability and society while he explores topics on accountability, social and environmental reporting, NGO accountability and community engagement, corporate social responsibility, sustainability (including the Sustainable Development Goals), climate change and just transitions. His recent works have focused on the accountability relations of multinational corporations and host communities in developing economy context, environmental disclosure, and counter-conduct. He also explores accounting for water in relation to SDG 6, including how water-intensive corporations account for water in developing countries, accounting for disasters/crisis, and accountability for human rights.
