Profile
Biography
I am an economist at the Institute for Social and Economic Research at the University of Essex. My research primarily focuses on educational attainment, mental health, and criminal justice, particularly during childhood and adolescence. I was recently awarded a fellowship funded by Administrative Data Research UK (ESRC) to identify early socio-emotional traits and other contextual factors that may increase the risk of children engaging in criminal activities as they transition into adolescence. This research uses linked data from the Ministry of Justice and the Department for Education. In addition to my research role, I work part-time as a Data Analyst and Training Officer for Understanding Society (UKHLS). I design and deliver quantitative data analysis training to external data users and provide support to project’s co-funders. I am also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in recognition of my expertise in teaching and commitment to enhancing learning.
