Biography
Jo-Anne is a BPC registered Psychodynamic Psychotherapist. She qualified with WPF Post Graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (with adults), continuing to gain a Masters Degree from Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust and University of East London in Psychological Therapies with Children, Young People and Families in addition to Post Graduate Diploma in Systemic Theory. In her research she will be using Reflexive Thematic Analysis to analyse Data to create a psychoanalytic theoretical framework for working with women going through the menopause life stage. Jo-Anne has an online practice working mainly with adults and supervises psychodynamic psychotherapists and counsellors.

The meaning of menopause: How does menopause manifest in the consulting room and can this be thought about in relation to a psychoanalytic theory of the menopause stage?
The menopause is a life stage that little thought has been given to in psychoanalytic writing. With current thinking in the media in relation to women thinking about their own bodies and about this stage, this has become an important and powerful topic.
